Doctor Babasahib Ambedkar Memorial Central Hospital

We’ve been here at Central Railway Opposite Rani Bagh for quite a while now. Most people know us as Doctor Babasahib Ambedkar Memorial Central Hospital. It’s a busy place in Bhaykhala East. If you take the train, you’ve probably seen the building. It isn't fancy, just a hospital doing what hospitals do every day. The hallways are usually full of people coming and going. We handle a lot of cases because of where we are located. It gets noisy sometimes because of the traffic and the railway nearby. Working here means seeing all sorts of things. We don't really do the whole flashy advertising thing. We just show up and get to work. Most of the staff live around here or commute in on the same lines the patients use. It’s just a part of the landscape in this part of Mumbai. Sometimes the elevators are slow, and the paint might be peeling in spots, but the work happens anyway. People come from all over the central railway network to get seen here. It’s a big building, easy to find if you’re near the garden. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but the hospital stays pretty much the same. It's a landmark for the locals and the railway workers. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can without making a fuss about it. That's pretty much who we are.
