Dikshita Engineering

You can find Dikshita Engineering over at Gala No 9 in the Dharamveer Sambhaji Housing Society, which is right by the Kurla Pipe Line in Andheri East. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren’t used to the Satyanagar area. We’ve been in this gala for years, and it’s packed with tools and parts everywhere you look. It’s a real working shop, not one of those clean offices you see in the movies. There is usually grease on someone’s hands and the sound of metal being moved around. Being near the pipe line means there’s always something going on outside, people moving back and forth all day. We mostly focus on the engineering tasks that come our way, taking things one job at a time. The staff here is small, just a few of us who know how the machines behave. We don't have a big marketing department, we just rely on the fact that we've been in the same spot for so long. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the rain makes it hard to get deliveries in, but that is just part of being in this part of Mumbai. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a straightforward life here. We do the work, we fix what’s broken, and we head home. It’s not always pretty, but the work gets done and that’s what really matters to us at the end of the day.
