Bollywood Leather Boutique

Our boutique is located on Sant Rouidas Road, right near the old Kala Killa in Dharavi. It is a busy spot, especially being opposite Priyanka Bar. If you are coming from the Sion-Bandra Link Road, you will find us near the ONGC building and the Bag Adda in Kamaraj Nagar. We are also right near the Priyanka Bar on that side of the road. The shop itself is small and always smells like fresh leather. We do a lot of the work right here, so you’ll often see pieces of hide spread out on the table and needles being threaded. It’s a bit cluttered with bags, belts, and jackets hanging from every available hook. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the material. The traffic outside is constant, and the noise of the bikes and rickshaws is something we just live with. We use old sewing machines that have a very specific click-clack sound. Sometimes customers come in with a broken strap or a zipper that needs fixing, and we just do it while they wait. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass cases. It is more of a workshop where people can see us actually making things. We have piles of leather scraps in the corner and sketches taped to the walls. It is a simple, honest way to spend the day, and we like being part of the Dharavi community.
