We’re located at Maker Chambers VI in Nariman Point, which is a pretty famous area in Mumbai. Even though the address sounds fancy, our office at 141 is actually quite simple. Devidayal Chemical Industries has been around for a long time, and we’ve seen Nariman Point change from being the only business hub to just one of many. Our office has those old-style wooden desks and heavy files that have been sitting there for years. We handle a lot of chemical trading and industrial supplies from here. It’s mostly just people on phones or typing away on old keyboards. The view of the sea is nice if you stand near the window, but we’re usually too busy to look. We aren't a high-tech startup with bean bags. We’re a traditional business that values showing up and doing the work. Sometimes the elevators in the building take forever, so we end up chatting with the neighbors while we wait. We don't have a big PR team writing our stuff. We just know our chemicals and we know our customers. Most people we deal with have been buying from us for decades. It’s a steady pace, nothing too crazy. We just keep things moving and make sure the paperwork is in order. It’s just how we’ve always done it here in Maker Chambers. We don't need a lot of fuss to get things done.
