Devashree Foods Pvt Ltd is located right in the Rajnigandha Shopping Centre, unit 36, in Goregaon East. It’s a busy little area with lots of people coming and going. We started this because we wanted to get decent food products out to the local market. It’s not a massive factory, but we keep busy enough. The space is a bit tight with all the boxes and equipment, but we make it work somehow. Most days involve a lot of packing and checking the stock. We deal with various food items, trying to keep things as fresh as possible. The staff is mostly local folks who live nearby. We don’t have a lot of corporate rules; we just focus on getting the work done. You’ll often find us drinking tea in the back when we have a quick break. The shopping centre can be a bit chaotic during the weekends, so we try to get most of our heavy lifting and deliveries done early in the week. It’s a straightforward business. We sell to shops and sometimes directly to people who drop by the office. It isn’t always perfect, and sometimes the deliveries are late because of the heavy traffic on the main road, but we manage to get through it. We’ve been here for a few years now and have seen the whole neighborhood grow around us. We’re just another part of the local community here in Goregaon, doing our best to stay busy.
