Out here in Kapustadni, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Devant Rural Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right out of House Number 2162 in the Anjangaon Surji taluka of Amravati. It’s a rural spot, and most of us have been around these fields our whole lives. We started this company because we realized that doing things alone as individual farmers was getting harder every year. By coming together here in Maharashtra, we can handle the seeds and the selling a bit better. The office is really just a room where we keep our records and meet up to discuss which crops are looking good this time around. It’s not always easy, especially when the rains don't come when they are supposed to or the market prices drop out of nowhere. We focus on the practical side of farming life. There isn’t any corporate talk here, just talk about soil, water, and hard work. People in Amravati know that farming is a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We are just trying to get the best out of our land without too much fuss. If you come by the house, you'll probably find someone drinking tea and looking over some farm receipts. It’s a community thing more than anything else, really. We just want to keep the village growing and stay productive.
