Designo Furniture Studio/Mythic sits right opposite Natraj Tower on the Mulund Link Road. We are also quite close to the container yard, so you can imagine the kind of heavy traffic we see every single day. The big trucks rumble past and sometimes the windows rattle a little bit. Our place is easy to find because of Natraj Tower across the street, which everyone knows. Inside, it’s mostly just a workspace. We have pieces of wood and fabric scattered around because we are always in the middle of something. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. The air smells like glue and cut timber. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us with a pencil behind our ear, trying to figure out a measurement. Mulund Link Road is a busy stretch, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. We take our breaks outside sometimes just to watch the chaos of the road. It’s a practical setup. We don’t put on a show for anyone. If you come in, you see us working. The furniture we have around is usually for someone else, waiting to be picked up or finished. We like the grit of this area. Being near the container yard feels right for the kind of heavy lifting we do every day. It is just the way we like to work.
