Desi Delites is tucked away at 14/2A in Mumbai’s Budhwar Peth, specifically in the Mohit CHS building. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and fast-paced things are around here. We operate out of a relatively small space because that’s just how it is in this part of the city. We spend our mornings getting everything ready for the day ahead. There’s always a lot of foot traffic right outside our door, with people rushing to work or running errands. We don't have big signs or flashy lights. It’s a modest setup where we focus on preparing food that people can grab quickly or sit down for a short bit. Space is tight, so we have to be very organized with how we store things and where we cook. We don't have a massive menu, just a few things we do well every day. The building itself is an older one, like many in this area, so it has its own character. We’ve got to know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here pretty well over the years. It’s a lot of hard work keeping up with the pace of Mumbai, but we’ve found our rhythm. We just open up, do our work, and talk to the people who stop by. It’s not a corporate chain, just a local business trying to keep things moving. We do our best to stay on top of things as the day goes by.
