You can find our office at Ambika Tarace, which is on the 5th Cross Lane in the Masjid area, specifically in Jairam Nagar. This part of Mumbai is always humming with the sound of trucks and heavy vehicles because of the nearby docks and markets. Our daily life revolves around logistics and moving goods from one place to another. The office is usually filled with the sound of the phone ringing and people talking over each other to get things coordinated. We have maps pinned to the walls and clipboards hanging from every available hook. It is a bit of a mess, truthfully, with ledgers and receipts piled on the desks. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and checking on where the loads are. The air in Masjid is always thick with dust and the smell of diesel, and our office is no different. We don't have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us hunched over the paperwork or arguing with a dispatcher. It’s a tough business, and the hours are long, but it’s what we know. We’ve been operating out of this lane for a long time, and we know all the other transport guys around here. It is a gritty, practical place where we just focus on getting the trucks moved and the jobs finished. We stay until the last driver reports back.
