Deep Beauty

You can find Deep Beauty at number 9, right across from the Jumma Masjid on Anand Road. Chira Bazar is always packed with people, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting through the crowd to reach us. Charni Road is nearby too, so there is never a quiet moment outside the shop. We have been in this spot for quite a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of things on the shelves. It’s not one of those wide-open stores you see in the malls. It’s a local place where we know a lot of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We spend our days helping customers find what they are looking for, even if it takes a while to dig through the stock. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. We aren't really into big advertisements or fancy displays. We just put the items out and let people see what we have. It gets quite busy on the weekends when everyone is out shopping for their homes. My family has been doing this for a while, and we just like the routine of opening up, chatting with the neighbors, and closing down when the sun goes out. It’s a simple life, and the shop is a big part of it.
