Deeksha Agarbatti Co.

Our workplace is at No.70 on the 3rd Main Road, right at the 6th Cross in Chamrajpet. This is an old part of the city, and it has a very specific feel to it. Deeksha Agarbatti Co. is where we spend our days surrounded by the scents of incense. It is a small setup. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. The building is older, and the rooms are filled with the materials we use for making the sticks. You can usually smell us before you see the sign. The neighborhood is full of houses and small businesses, so we see the same people every morning. We start early, usually before the sun gets too hot. There is a lot of handwork involved in what we do. We don't use massive machines that make a ton of noise. It’s more about the rhythm of the workers and the stacks of products being packed. We don't have a glossy catalog. If someone wants to know what we have, they just come by and take a sniff. We use simple packaging and try to keep things efficient. Chamrajpet is a place where people still stop to talk, so we often have locals dropping in just to say hello. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We just focus on getting the batches right and making sure the orders are ready for the delivery bikes. It’s a traditional way of working and we like the local community here.
