You can find us at Shahkar Bhavan, over on 340 Masjid Bunder Road. Decent Lorry Service has been working out of this building for years. Masjid Bunder is always packed with people and vehicles, so it's a loud and active place to be. Our office is small and usually filled with the sound of the street and the humming of old fans. We don't have any flashy signs or modern furniture. It's just a place where we manage the lorries and talk to drivers. Logistics in this part of the city is never easy. There are always delays or narrow streets to deal with. We just take it as it comes. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees. We are a small group of people who know how the transport business works in this area. We write things down in ledgers and keep track of things the old-fashioned way. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to hear the tea stall downstairs. We don't make big promises. We just try to get the loads where they need to go. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we’ve stuck with it. The location is central, which helps, even if the traffic is a nightmare. That's just part of life at Masjid Bunder. We stay open until the last driver checks in for the evening. It’s a long day but it’s our routine.
