Darzee Darwaze Pe

Darzee Darwaze Pe is based at Shop No. 23 in the New Juhu Ekta CHS Ltd. We are right on the New Juhu Versova Link Road in Andheri West. This part of Mumbai is always moving, and our shop is no different. The name really says it all about what we do. We spend our days surrounded by fabrics, threads, and sewing machines. Most of the time, the shop is full of pieces of cloth waiting to be worked on. It’s a local spot where people from the nearby buildings and the housing society stop by. We have a few machines set up and someone is almost always sitting there working on a seam or a hem. The link road outside is quite noisy, but inside we just focus on the measurements and the stitching. We get people coming in with all sorts of requests for their clothes. Some want things fixed and others want something completely new. It’s a simple setup we have here. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and our tools. We open up in the morning and work through the pile of clothes until it’s time to go home. The light in the shop is okay, but we often use extra lamps to see the fine details. It’s a busy life being a tailor in Andheri, but we enjoy the rhythm of the work we do.
