Dan Laxmi Goods Carrier is tucked away in Room No 18 on the 2nd Floor of 50 Issaji. We are in Masjid Bunder West, which is easily one of the busiest parts of the city. If you are trying to find us, we are right near the Ram Mandir. You can usually hear the sounds from the temple and the shouting of the loaders on the street below. The building is old and the stairs are narrow, so you have to watch your step. Being a goods carrier means there is always a lot of talk about trucks and deliveries. Our office is small and filled with ledgers and notes. It gets very dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we are always wiping down the tables. Masjid Bunder is a place where everyone is in a hurry. We fit right into that. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. It is just a practical room where the business happens. Most of the day is spent coordinating things over the phone. The smell of the market is always in the air here. It is a tough area to work in because of the congestion, but we are used to it by now. The 2nd floor location keeps us just a little bit above the worst of the street noise, but not by much. We just keep moving forward with the daily grind and the transport work.
