You can find us at Bhanu Mansion Building, where we have shops number 3 and 5 on Bhawani Sanker Road. Dadar West is always a crowded place, especially during the wedding season, and our spot is right in the middle of it all. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The shops aren't massive, but we make the most of the space by keeping the racks full of different outfits. Usually, there are rolls of fabric or half-finished outfits hanging around. It can get a bit chaotic when more than two families come in at once, but that is just how business goes in Dadar. We spend most of our hours helping people try on clothes and figuring out what fits them. The street outside is noisy with honking cars and people walking to the station, which you can hear even from inside the shop. We don't have a big corporate team; it is just a few of us who know how to handle the heavy embroidery and the delicate fabrics. Sometimes the lights flicker when the weather is bad, but we just keep working. It is a very hands-on job, and we are usually on our feet from morning until the shutters go down at night. We try to keep things organized, though with so many clothes, it is a constant struggle to keep the shelves neat.
