Our office is at 208-A in the A Wing of Gokul Arcade, right on Swami Nityanand Road in Vile Parle. Being near the airport and the station means there’s never a quiet moment. You can always hear the trains or the planes in the distance. We handle a lot of international chemical trade, so the phones are always ringing. The space is a bit tight with all the filing cabinets and desks squeezed in, but we make it work. Gokul Arcade is one of those buildings where you can easily get turned around if you aren’t looking at the signs. We spend a lot of time looking at shipping schedules and talking to customs agents. It’s a lot of detail work that can get tedious, but it’s important. We don’t have any big signs or flashy displays. It’s just a functional workspace where we do our business. Most of us bring our own lunch and eat together in the small break area. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere, though it gets stressful when a shipment is delayed. Vile Parle is a good spot to be, even with the traffic, because everything is accessible. We’ve got a routine down now, and the days go by pretty fast when you’re busy. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not; we’re just a small outfit trying to do a good job with the trade stuff.
