Ct Mri Dept Esic Hospital

Our department is located on Central Road, inside the MIDC area of Andheri East. Being part of the ESIC Hospital, we handle the CT and MRI scans for a lot of workers and their families. It’s a very industrial part of the city, so there is always the sound of trucks and construction outside. Inside the department, it’s a bit different. It’s usually colder because of the machines, and you hear that constant humming sound from the scanners. We spend our days looking at screens and helping people get positioned on the tables. It’s a repetitive job in some ways, but every person who comes in has a different story. Some people are really nervous about the loud noises the machines make, so we spend time talking to them and trying to keep them calm. The waiting area is often full, and the chairs aren't the most comfortable, but we try to get through the list as fast as we can. We don't have a lot of decorations in our section. It’s mostly just white walls and technical equipment. The technicians here have been working together for a long time, so we have our own way of doing things. We take our lunch breaks in a small room in the back, usually talking about the traffic on Central Road. It’s a busy, functional part of the hospital that doesn't stop moving until late at night. The shift changes happen quickly, and then a new group takes over.
