Crafts Villa

We’re located over in Kandivali East, right by the Thakur Complex. If you know where Aditi Hospital is, we’re just a short walk from there. Crafts Villa is really just a place where we keep all the things we make and sell. It’s a bit crowded inside because there are always new items coming in or things being packed for someone who bought them. We deal with various crafts, so the shop often smells like wood or paint depending on what we were doing that morning. It’s not a polished boutique. You might find a bit of sawdust on the floor or some unfinished pieces tucked in the corners. We spend a lot of time arranging things on the shelves only for them to get moved around again. The neighborhood is mostly families, so we see a lot of people stopping by while they’re out doing their regular errands. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a couple of us who like making things and showing them to whoever walks in. Sometimes we’re so busy working on a specific piece that we don’t notice someone enter right away. We use simple tools and traditional methods for most of what we do. It’s a messy process but the results are usually worth the effort. People seem to like the handmade feel of the items, which is lucky because that’s the only way we know how to do it. We just enjoy the work and the quiet days.
