We’re located on the 7th floor, room 702, at Centre Point. It’s in J.B. Nagar, right on the Andheri-Kurla Road in Andheri East. Being in Mumbai, we’re right in the middle of all the noise and the crowds. Our office isn't a factory; it’s more where we handle all the logistics and the sales for Connect Chemicals India. We spend most of the day on the phones or sending emails to coordinate where the chemical shipments need to go. It’s a lot of tracking numbers and making sure the documentation is right for the ports. The road outside is always jammed with cars and those blue buses, so we hear the honking all day long. It’s a fast-paced environment but we try to keep it simple. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls or anything like that. We just focus on getting the chemicals from point A to point B without too much trouble. Our staff is a small group of people who’ve been in the trade for a while. We know the suppliers and we know the customers who rely on us. It’s a lot of sitting at desks, but the work is important for the industries we supply. We try to be practical and just answer the phone when people call with questions about their orders. It’s just how we do business here in Andheri. Some days are more chaotic than others, but we manage to get things sorted out.
