Concrete Ideas

You’ll find us on the ground floor of Abde Villa, which is at 99 S V Road in Khar West. We are right opposite the G M Medical Centre. It’s a busy spot in Mumbai, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We called the place Concrete Ideas because we wanted to focus on the different ways people use concrete these days. It’s not just for sidewalks anymore; people have all kinds of plans. We spend a lot of time talking through projects with people who come in. The space here in Khar is small but it works for what we do. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for folks to just duck in and ask a question. We see all sorts of people, from designers to guys just trying to fix a floor in their home. S V Road is always moving, and we feel like we’re right in the middle of that energy. We don’t have any fancy corporate offices or big bosses. It’s just us at the desk or out back looking at samples. Sometimes the traffic noise is a bit much, especially during rush hour, but you get used to it after a while. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a project sounds like it won't work, we say so. It’s better to be straight with people. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a bit now and we like the vibe of Khar. It’s a good place to have a shop.
