Grant Road is always busy. Our shop, number 31 in the Sakhsaria Building, is right in the middle of it all. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work. Most days it’s just us here getting things sorted and dealing with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other, but you get used to that after a while. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. People come by looking for different things and we try to help them out if we have what they need in stock. The building itself has its own character, you know how those old Grant Road structures are. It’s got thick walls but the hallways are a bit narrow. We keep our shelves pretty packed because space is tight. It’s mostly just hard work and staying organized so we don't lose track of orders. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a counter and some chairs that have seen better days. Usually, there’s a tea stall nearby where we get our morning chai. It keeps us going when the afternoons get long and the heat starts coming in from the street. We just open up in the morning, do what needs doing, and close up when the day is done. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We don't really do much advertising or anything, folks just find us or hear about the shop from someone else.
