Our place is located in Shell Colony in Chembur, over at 38/454. Being in Mumbai, we’re used to the noise and the constant movement, but Shell Colony is actually a bit more manageable than some other parts of the city. We’ve been in this spot for a while, working on various technology and software tasks. The office is functional and simple. We have our desks, our computers, and plenty of power strips running across the floor. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it’s where we get our best work done. The 400071 area has everything we need, and there are some good spots nearby to grab a vada pav when we’re feeling hungry. We don't have a big HR department or a PR team writing fancy stuff for us. We’re just a bunch of people who know how to code and fix tech problems. The building is older, and the elevator can be a bit temperamental, so many of us just take the stairs. We keep the windows open when the weather allows, though the humidity usually wins. Our focus is just on the work at hand. We don’t really go in for big speeches or corporate slogans. We just show up, do what we need to do, and try to beat the traffic on the way home. It’s an honest living in a busy city, and we are happy with that.
