Cmr Academy

Cmr Academy is located in Parel, inside the Kamal Building on Dr Ambedkar Road. We are at number 23. It’s right next to the F/South Municipal Building, so the area is always full of people doing official work or commuting. Parel is a very busy part of Mumbai, and our building is right in the thick of it. We have a few rooms where we hold our sessions. The space isn't huge, but we have managed to fit in enough benches for the students. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are fine for now. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the attendance books. You can hear the taxis and buses honking outside all day. It’s the sound of the city. We don't have a website that does everything for us; we mostly talk to people face-to-face or on the phone. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the walls a bit damp, but we just dry things off and keep going. It’s a very grounded place. We are just local people trying to help students with their studies. There are no big promises or flashy posters here. We just show up every morning, open the windows to let some air in, and start the day’s work. It’s been our routine for years and we like the familiarity of the neighborhood. It is home to us and we like being part of Parel.
