If you walk down R C Dutt Road in Chembur, you’ll find us at number 4. Classic Mobile is a small shop, and honestly, it gets pretty cramped when more than three people come in at once. We spend our days staring at tiny screws and cracked glass. Everyone seems to have a phone problem lately. Whether it’s a battery that won’t hold a charge or a screen that looks like a spider web, we’ve probably seen it. We keep a drawer full of chargers and cables because people always seem to lose theirs. It’s a bit of a hectic life here in Chembur. The traffic outside is always honking, and the shop door keeps swinging open. We don’t really do fancy advertising. Most people just walk in because they live nearby or they were heading to the station. We try to be quick with the repairs, but sometimes the parts take a day or two to arrive. The back workbench is always cluttered with screwdrivers and those little plastic prying tools. It’s a lot of fine work that strains the eyes after a few hours. We also have those protective cases hanging on the walls, though we could probably organize them better. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to help people get their phones back in working order so they can go about their day. We just keep the lights on and the tools moving.
