Civil Hospital

Our hospital is situated right on Trimbak Road. It is a long road and we are one of the main buildings people look for when they are heading that way. The traffic can be a bit much during the afternoon, but there is a decent amount of space once you get inside the compound. The building has that typical look of a public office or a local clinic, with big windows and heavy doors that stay open most of the day. We have been here for years, and the walls have that yellowish tint that comes with time. People from all over the district come here because Trimbak Road is easy to reach by bus or auto-rickshaw. There is always a bit of a crowd near the entrance where people are checking their papers or talking to the security guard. The doctors and nurses spend a lot of time walking back and forth between the wards. It is not a quiet place by any means. You can hear the sounds of the city coming in from the road, and there is usually a radio playing somewhere in the back. We have benches lining the corridors because the wait can be long sometimes. People bring their families and sit together while they wait for their names to be called. It is a plain, hardworking place that does not try to be anything other than what it is for the local community.
