If you know the Churchgate area at all, you probably know Veer Nariman Road. We are at 90-A, right in the thick of things. This part of Mumbai never really stops, does it? Chopsticks Restaurant has been part of this street for a long time. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit around us, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. We open up early, get the kitchen prepped, and handle the rush. It’s a busy spot, so it can get pretty hectic during the middle of the day. We don’t have a lot of time for fluff or fancy talk. We just focus on getting the food to the tables. The interior is pretty standard, nothing that’s going to win any design awards, but it works for us and our customers. We get a lot of people who work in the nearby offices or people catching trains. It’s a lot of fast-paced work, and sometimes we’re a bit tired by the end of the shift, but that’s just the restaurant business in a big city. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We’re just a place to eat on a busy road. People come in, they eat, they head back out into the noise of Churchgate. It’s been our routine for years and we don’t see much reason to change it now.
