Our shop is at 280 Janjikar Street. It’s a very old part of the city, right between Juma Ma and the main road named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The streets here are very narrow and always crowded with people shopping or carrying goods. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. It’s a small shop, packed from floor to ceiling with stock. You have to watch your step when you come in. There’s no big sign or flashing lights, just our name on the board outside. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been buying from us for generations. We sell various items, and the inventory changes a bit depending on what we can get. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk with customers. Sometimes we sit on the small wooden stools and have a long chat about the news while finishing a sale. It gets very hot in the summer because the buildings are so close together, but we have a small fan that does its best. Maulana Shaukat Ali Road is just a short walk away. It’s a noisy, vibrant place to work. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people want something, they just come down to Janjikar Street and find us. It’s how business has always been done around here. We close up when the sun goes down and the crowd starts to thin out.
