Choice Telecom

Over at Choice Telecom, we keep things pretty basic. Our shop is located in the Fort area, specifically at Baliyawas 120. It’s a small space, but we have everything we need to fix phones or help people with their mobile plans. The Fort district is always buzzing with people working in offices nearby, so we get a lot of folks coming in during their lunch breaks because their screens cracked or their batteries died. I’ve been working here for several years now. I started out just helping a friend and then ended up taking over the daily stuff. It’s a lot of sitting at a small desk with tiny screws and magnifying glasses. Sometimes the repairs are easy, and other times they take all day. We have shelves lined with chargers, cables, and various phone cases. It’s not a shiny showroom like the ones you see in the malls. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. The building we are in has a lot of history, and the walls are a bit thick, which sometimes messes with the signal inside, ironically. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just me and one other guy most of the time. We talk to the customers, tell them what’s wrong with their device, and try to get it back to them as soon as possible. It’s a simple business in a busy part of the city. We just try to stay honest about what can be fixed.
