Chifs Corner Hotel

Chifs Corner Hotel is located right on the Main Road in Malad West, at building number 6. Even though the name says hotel, we are mostly a place where people come to eat. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building is showing its age a bit, but it’s home to us. The Main Road is always packed with cars and buses, so there’s a constant hum of traffic outside our door. We have a simple menu with the usual dishes that local people like to eat for lunch and dinner. The kitchen is small and busy from the moment we open until we close the shutters at night. We buy our vegetables and meat fresh every day because we don't have a lot of storage space anyway. Our staff is just a small group of people who have been with us for years. We aren't fancy and we don't have air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that struggle when it’s humid. People come here because they know what to expect and they like the familiar taste of the food. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but our little corner has stayed pretty much the same. It’s a tough business with long hours, but we keep at it because it’s what we know how to do for a living. We stay busy until we finally lock the doors and head off home for the night.
