Chemipol

Our workplace, Chemipol, is situated in the Pioneer Industrial Estate in Jogeshwari East. We occupy units 122 and 123, which gives us enough room to handle our day-to-day chemical business. Subhash Road is usually packed with trucks and people moving goods, so it stays quite loud around the clock. The estate itself has been around for a long time, and you can see that in the older buildings and the narrow lanes. We spend our hours managing orders and checking on the stock we keep in the back of the units. It is a very industrial atmosphere, which suits the kind of work we do here. There is always a smell of something or other in the air, mostly just the usual scents you find in a place that handles chemicals. We don't have a fancy reception area or air-conditioned waiting rooms. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes or sitting at a plain wooden desk sorting through the paperwork and shipping manifests. The team is quite small, and we’ve all worked together for many years, so we don’t need many rules to get the job done. Jogeshwari is a tough place to navigate sometimes because of the congestion, but it is central for our logistics and getting things out to the city. We just focus on getting the products out the door and making sure the labels are correct. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is steady for us.
