Chemet

You can find Chemet on the second floor of the Span Center on Ramkrishna Mission Road in Santacruz. It’s a busy part of the suburb, and the building has a lot of different people coming and going throughout the day. We’ve been here for a while, tucked away in our office space. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for our desks and the files we need to keep track of everything. We work on the chemical side of things, but we aren't scientists in white coats; we're more about the business and logistics of it. The walk up to the second floor is part of our daily routine. We don't have a reception desk or anything like that. If you come in, you’ll probably see one of us on the phone or typing away at a computer. The windows look out over the street, which is always noisy with traffic and people heading to the station. We try to keep things simple and avoid making things more complicated than they need to be. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the right materials go to the right places. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up, so we just open the windows and deal with the noise and the heat. We're just a small team trying to stay organized and get our work done before the day ends. We’ve been in Santacruz for years and we like the rhythm of this neighborhood.
