You can find us at B-7 Gurudev Apartments on R. C. Marg. It is right there near Chembur Naka, which everyone knows is a busy spot. Near Akbarall, the noise from the street is constant, but inside at Guitar Academy And Boutique, we have our own kind of noise. There is almost always someone in the back room trying to learn a chord and getting it wrong. The guitars are hanging all along the walls, some old and some newer ones we just got in. The boutique part is where we keep the strings and the small parts that people are always losing. It smells like old wood and maybe a bit of cleaning oil. We have a couple of old chairs that have seen better days, but they are comfortable for sitting and playing for a while. Sometimes the students stay late and we end up just talking about music until it’s dark outside. The apartment building is a bit older, so the pipes hum sometimes. We don't have a big sign or anything, just enough so people can find the door. It is a bit cramped when we have a lot of people for a class, but we make it work. Most of the time, we are just tuning things or fixing a bridge that someone broke. It is a good way to spend the day in Chembur.
