Chemapol Industries is situated at 55/A Alli Chambers on Tamarind Lane. If you know that area, you know those buildings have a lot of history. It’s a bit of a maze in there sometimes with the narrow hallways. We’ve been operating out of this office for quite some time now. We mostly handle industrial chemicals. It’s the kind of business where you spend a lot of time on the phone or writing emails to factories. The space is filled with old desks and filing cabinets that have been here forever. We like the vibe of Tamarind Lane. It’s got that old-school business feel that you don’t find in the new glass buildings. Our team is small, just a few of us who know the industry inside out. We don’t bother with fancy presentations. We just focus on the specs of the chemicals and the shipping dates. Sometimes the monsoon makes the old building a bit damp, but we just carry on. It’s a lot of checking batch numbers and making sure the paperwork for the customs or the transport is correct. We aren’t interested in being the loudest voice in the market. We just want our customers to get what they ordered without any drama. It’s a steady, quiet kind of business. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing. We don't have big meetings, we just get the work done.
