Centenary Hospital

Centenary Hospital is located over in the Chembur area. Chembur is a big place and it can be a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here, but the hospital is a spot that most locals can point you toward. The building has been standing for a good while and it has that old-fashioned feel to it. We have a lot of history in these walls and you can see it in the way the floors are worn down in the main corridors. It’s a busy hospital because there are so many people living in this part of the city. We have different wards for various needs and a staff that is used to the fast pace of Chembur life. The waiting room is almost always occupied by someone and there is a constant hum of conversation and footsteps. We don't have any of those modern glass partitions or high-tech looking lobbies you see in the new private places. It’s just a solid brick and mortar hospital where the work is the main focus. We spend a lot of time managing the flow of patients and making sure everyone gets a bed if they need one. It gets loud with the traffic outside and the people inside but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We are just here to provide a place for people to get better when they are sick or hurt.
