Carewel Hospital

Carewel Hospital is located up on the 2nd floor of the Dilkap centre. If you know the Andheri Kurla Road area, you know it’s always loud with the traffic and the metro construction nearby. We’ve been at this spot in Andheri East for a bit now. Being on the second floor means we get a bit away from the street noise, though you can still hear the horns honking all day long. The office layout is a bit narrow because of how the building is shaped. We have some patient rooms and a small desk where we keep all the files in those big blue folders. Everything is mostly paper-based here, so there’s a lot of writing things down by hand. The elevator in the building works okay, but sometimes it’s faster just to take the stairs if you aren’t carrying much. We see a lot of local workers and families who live in the apartments around here. The lighting in the hallway is a bit dim, but we keep the clinic area bright. We don't have a big cafeteria or anything, just a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. Sometimes we stay late when a lot of people show up at once. It’s just how the days go in Mumbai. We try to keep the windows closed to keep the dust out, but it always finds a way in. It's a busy place but we manage things okay.
