Carats Online

Our little shop is tucked away inside the Gyaneshwari Building. If you know where the Pritam Hotel is on Aarey Road, we are located right behind it in Shop No. 6. Goregav East is a very hectic part of the city, and being here means we hear the traffic and the horns all day long. Even though our name says online, we spend a lot of our time right here in this physical office. It is mostly packing boxes, taping them up, and checking the inventory on the shelves. The building has a typical local feel to it, nothing fancy, just a practical place to work. We have our computers set up near the back window where it is a bit quieter. Sometimes the delivery drivers have a hard time finding the entrance because of the hotel building, so we often have to walk out to the street to meet them. It is a lot of work making sure all the listings are correct. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything gets done. The light in the late afternoon hits the front of the shop in a nice way. Aarey Road is always on the move. We end up drinking a lot of tea while we work through the daily orders. It is a bit cramped with all the bubble wrap and boxes everywhere, but that is just how it goes in Goregav.
