We’ve been here at Plot F 11 and F 12 in the Wicel building for a good while now. It’s right across from the main gate of SEEPZ in Andheri East, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside every morning. Our space is mostly about science and technical stuff, nothing too fancy. People here spend their time looking at samples and making sure the products are actually what they should be. It’s not a polished office with big glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a workplace. We deal with chemicals and ingredients that go into food and other products. Sometimes the smells from the lab get a bit strong during the day, but that is just part of the job for us. Most of us take the train or a bus to get to work, so arriving in the morning is usually a bit of a rush through the crowd. We have some desks, a few labs, and plenty of paperwork to get through every single day. The Wicel area is pretty industrial, which really suits what we do here. It’s not about being loud or showing off; we just focus on the science part of things. Usually, we are busy checking orders or testing new batches. If you walk by, you might see the trucks loading up or someone heading out for a quick lunch at one of the stalls nearby. It is just a regular spot where people work hard and try to get things right.
