Cambridge International School, Mumbai

We operate out of the Christ Church School building on Clare Road in Byculla. It’s an old part of Mumbai, and the building reflects that history. We share the space, so things can get a bit busy during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times. The traffic on Clare Road is always a challenge, with taxis and bikes everywhere. Inside, the classrooms have high ceilings and those big windows that you only see in older structures. We have our desks set up and the walls are usually covered with student work. It’s a very urban school experience. There isn’t a massive field, but the kids find places to spend their breaks. We don’t have a lot of corporate polish here. The office is small, and you’ll often find us sorting through books or talking to parents right in the hallway. We just focus on the curriculum and making sure the students are prepared for their exams. The neighborhood is full of life, with shops and bakeries right outside the gate. Sometimes the noise from the street drifts into the rooms, but the students are used to it by now. It’s a practical environment for learning, situated right in the heart of a busy community. We just do our work day by day and keep things running.
