If you go down L T Marg near Dhobi Talao, you’ll find us. We are at Marine Lines, specifically number 23 292. Calimac Chemicals has been in this corner for a long time. The building is old and has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit much if you’re carrying a lot of gear. It’s a busy part of town. You’ve got the courts nearby and all kinds of shops. There is always a crowd outside. We usually start the day with a quick check of the mail. Our office is a mix of old wooden furniture and some newer computers that look a bit out of place. We don’t really bother with decorating much. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about it. Marine Lines has a specific smell to it, salt from the sea and exhaust from the cars. We’ve gotten used to it. 23 292 is just our little spot in the middle of the chaos. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes people drop by just because they’re in the area. We’ve got a small fan that rattles in the corner, keeping us cool. It’s just how things are at Calimac Chemicals. We stay busy and try to keep things organized despite the noise. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for the afternoon slump.
