You can find C Vakil Co Pvt Ltd over at the arvodaya Industrial Estate on Malabar Hill. We are at unit number 24. It’s an interesting place to work because Malabar Hill is usually known for other things, but this industrial pocket has been here for years. Our space is mostly functional. We’ve got some old desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We handle various industrial supplies and some administrative work here. It’s a bit of a maze getting to unit 24 if you aren’t used to the layout of the estate. The lighting isn't the brightest but we get the job done. Most of us have worked here for a long time. We know the other business owners in the building. We usually get our tea from the stall just outside the main gate. It's a quiet office for the most part, except when we are moving crates or checking inventory. We don't have a big sign outside, just the number on the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out invoices by hand. It’s a steady pace. Nothing too fast or flashy. We just make sure the orders are processed and the paperwork is in order. It’s a place where we spend most of our daylight hours and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. We keep the windows open when the weather is nice, though the city noise comes in quite clearly. It is just a regular office doing business things.
