We occupy a good amount of space over in Himalaya House at 79 Palton Road, specifically across rooms 401 to 424. It’s a well-known building in this part of South Mumbai, and it’s always buzzing with different companies doing all sorts of business. We focus on trade links, which basically means we spend our time connecting people who have goods with people who need them across the world. The office is a bit spread out since we have multiple rooms, so you’ll often see us walking back and forth in the corridor with papers in our hands. It’s not a shiny new office building, but it has a solid, reliable feel to it that we like. We deal with a lot of different commodities, so no two days are really the same for us. One morning we might be worrying about a shipment of textiles, and the next it could be something completely different. We try to keep our language simple and avoid all that corporate jargon that seems to be everywhere these days. We just want to make sure the trade goes through without any problems. Our staff has been with us for a long time, and we all know how the system works around here. It’s a busy, sometimes loud environment, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Being close to the main business districts makes it easier for us to stay on top of everything.
