C B Sharma Chartered Engineer

I’ve been working as a chartered engineer at C B Sharma for a long time now. My office is located in the Kumar Estate over in Malad East. It is a typical Mumbai workspace, a bit cramped but it gets the job done for me. I spend most of my time looking at structural plans or checking on technical details for various buildings. People come to me when they need an engineering opinion or some specific paperwork handled for their projects. The estate is always noisy with all the other businesses around, but I don't really mind it. It feels like things are happening and the city is moving. I don't have a big staff, usually just myself and maybe an assistant to help with the filing. We keep it simple. There are blueprints spread out over the tables most days. I try to stay organized, but sometimes the piles of paper get a little high when things are busy. Engineering isn't always exciting, but it is necessary work that needs to be done right. I've seen a lot of changes in Malad over the years. New buildings are going up everywhere you look. My role is just to make sure things are done right from a technical side. I don't do much in the way of promotion or advertising. If someone needs an engineer, they usually find my name through a colleague or a former client. It’s a quiet life of measuring and calculating. The office is open most days until the sun goes down.
