Working in Kailash Industrial Estate is always noisy. Our unit, G-111, is right in the middle of it all in Vikhroli. You can hear the sounds of machines and hammers all day long. Bristol Furniture is where we spend most of our time, and usually, our clothes are covered in a thin layer of wood dust. We have a lot of stuff crammed into this space. There are half-finished chairs and table legs sitting in corners. It is an industrial park, so aesthetics aren't really the priority. We spend more time on making sure the joints are tight and the wood is sanded down properly. Sometimes we have big lorries trying to back into the narrow lane, and everyone has to stop what they are doing to help guide them in. It's a bit of a headache but that’s just life at Parksite. We have a small office area tucked away from the main floor where the computer and the phone are kept. Most of our staff have been with us since we moved in here. We don’t have a showroom here, just the workshop. If you want to see what we do, you have to walk past the piles of raw timber. It’s hot and loud, but we are used to it. We keep the big fans on, but they mostly just move the warm air around.
