Our office is located in Ajay Apts, which is over in Byculla East. Specifically, we are at number 86 on Hansraj Lane. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but that’s just how Mumbai is most of the time. We do engineering and management consulting from here. It’s more of a desk job than a field job most days. We spend a lot of time looking at plans and talking to people about how to manage their projects. The space is inside an apartment building, so it feels more like a home office than a big corporate suite. We like it that way because it’s quiet enough to actually get some thinking done. Sometimes the traffic on the lane gets backed up, making it a bit noisy outside, but inside we just keep at it. There’s always a lot of papers stacked up on the desks. We try to keep things organized, but when three projects land at once, it gets a bit messy. It’s just a handful of us working here. We’ve been in Byculla for a good while now and know the local area well. People find us through word of mouth mostly. We don’t have a big sign out front or anything fancy. Just a small plate by the door. It’s a steady kind of life, working through the technical details and making sure things are managed right for the people who hire us to help.
