We are set up over at 4 Deonar G.I.D.C. Estate. If you have been to the industrial estate, you know it is a lot of warehouses and factories. Our spot is right in the middle of it. We handle road transport, which means we spend a lot of time talking to drivers and checking on truck maintenance. The office is pretty basic, just some desks and a lot of maps on the walls. It is not the kind of place where you would find a lot of decorations. We focus on getting the trucks out on time. The GIDC area is always dusty and there is a constant sound of engines idling nearby. It gets quite hot in the summer because of all the concrete around us. We have a small team here and most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get things done. Sometimes we stay late into the evening if a shipment is running behind. We don't really do much in terms of marketing; most of our work comes from being in this location for so long. People know where to find us when they have something that needs moving. It is a simple operation without any bells and whistles. We just show up every day and do what needs to be done. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually end up during our breaks. It is a tough environment but it suits us just fine.
