Bombay Jodhpur Roadways

Our office is located at 28/30 Dana Bunder, right on Senapati Bapat Marg. It's a crowded area with lots of lorries and people moving about. We have been running these trucks between Bombay and Jodhpur for many years now. It started with just one small truck and now we have a few more on the road. The office is small and usually filled with delivery slips and tea cups. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking where the drivers are. The road to Jodhpur can be tricky sometimes with the weather or road repairs, so we have to stay on top of things. Most of our clients are local traders who need to move goods back and forth. We don't do anything fancy, just moving boxes and crates from one point to another. My brother handles the accounts and I look after the loading at the bunder. It is noisy around here because of the station and the main road. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult in the monsoon, but we manage. We know the route very well by now. The drivers have their favorite dhabas along the way. It is a straightforward business without any big corporate talk. We just want to get the cargo delivered so we can start the next trip. Every day brings a new set of challenges with the traffic or the paperwork, but we are used to it by now and keep moving.
