Our office is located at A/06 in the Sambhaji Nagar Co-Op Housing Society. We are right on Akurali Road in Kandivali East, Mumbai 400101. It is a busy part of the suburbs. The building is one of those older housing societies where everyone knows everyone. Our unit is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to drop by. We have a lot of paperwork because of the nature of security work. There are files everywhere on the shelves. The desks are wooden and have been here for years. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit when it is on high speed, but it does the job. Outside, Akurali Road is always full of rickshaws and people walking to the station. We can hear the horns all day long. It is a very lively place to be. We have a few staff members who come in shifts. We usually have a pot of tea going in the corner. There is no big fancy lobby, just a door that stays open during the day. We focus on getting the schedules right and making sure everyone is where they should be. It is hard work, but we have been doing it from this spot in Kandivali for quite a while now. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood fabric here at Sambhaji Nagar. We just keep moving.
