Being at 12 Marine Lines means we’re right in the thick of it. This part of the city never really stops moving. You can hear the trains and the traffic all day long. The building itself has that old charm, though the salt air from the sea nearby does a number on the window frames. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and we’ve seen the skyline change, but number 12 stays the same. It’s a simple setup inside. We don’t have those modern open-plan offices you see in magazines. It’s more about desks tucked into corners and stacks of files that we promise to organize one day. The light is actually quite nice in the afternoons when the sun starts to dip. We all usually grab lunch from the local vendors nearby because the food is better than anything we’d bring from home. It’s a busy place, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, but we make it work. No one here wears a suit unless they absolutely have to. We just show up, do our jobs, and head home. It’s a practical location for everyone since the transport is so close. You don’t need a map to find us, just look for the old structure at Marine Lines. It’s not flashy, but it’s home for us during the work week. We just focus on the patients and the daily tasks without needing much else to keep us going.
