Bombay Andhra Transport Co is located at 113 Chakla Street, right near the Cross Lane and Faram Street by Manjura Gate. This is a very old and crowded part of the city, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze to get things in and out. As the name says, we mostly focus on moving goods between here and different parts of Andhra Pradesh. We’ve been running this route for a very long time, so we know all the stops and the checkpoints along the way. Our office is just a simple room with a few wooden benches for the drivers to rest on while they wait for their paperwork. There are always stacks of delivery notes and receipts on the desk. We don't do any big marketing; people find us because they need to send something south and they know we go there every week. It’s a lot of coordination with the guys at the other end. We deal with all sorts of cargo, from household items to industrial parts. The street outside is usually full of people and carts, so it’s never quiet here. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the road conditions or the price of diesel. It’s not a polished business, just a group of us making sure the trucks keep moving back and forth. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our reputation in the market and a lot of old-fashioned hard work.
