Our office, Blue Sea Shipping Agency Pvt Ltd, is located at No 112 A in the Navratan Building. We’re based in the Masjid area, near Sector 44 D and the Tata Power House. Being in the shipping business means we’re always thinking about the docks and the containers. The office isn't very large, but it’s packed with maps and shipping schedules. You can hear the hum of the city and the power house nearby. It’s a gritty part of town, full of trucks and industrial activity. We spend our days tracking cargo and talking to port officials. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust from the heavy traffic outside, and the building itself is quite old. We’ve got some sturdy desks and a lot of filing cabinets for all the customs paperwork. The team here knows the shipping lanes like the back of their hands. We don’t use any fancy software to manage things—mostly just old-fashioned lists and a lot of phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep working. We eat at the local stalls nearby because the food is cheap and good. It’s a hardworking environment where nobody cares much about appearances. We just make sure the goods get from the ships to the trucks without too much trouble for our clients.
